We cut this swim skirt with an 18.1 inch length measured from the top of the waistband down to the bottom hem. The high rise sits securely above the navel with a wide elastic panel that lies flat against the waist. Most swimwear patterns prioritize minimal fabric over fit stability. We take a different path. We draft longer torso blocks, raise waistlines, and widen leg bands. The result is swimwear that stays anchored when you move, swim, and bend, without shifting or riding up your legs.
Sizing swimwear by the inch
Choosing swimwear by tag size alone often leads to gaps at the waist or skirts that finish too high. We publish the actual vertical length of our skirts and tops in inches. An 18 inch skort fits mid thigh on most bodies, while a 20 inch skirt sits close to the kneecap. Checking length first prevents surprises.

This is an adorable bathing suit skirt. You can shorten or lengthen it. My thighs sag badly after losing weight, so the coverage is perfect. It is a little long in the torso, for me. It comes up to maybe 3-4 inches from my breasts.
